i think it is a problem about your disk,it may be local or network drive.it seems that you need the proper driver for your disk because kernel didn't recoginze your disk drive.

My install of RHEL 5.3 is giving me a Kernel panic message. This is the output on the screen.

    /proc/misc: No entry for device-mapper found

Kernel panic – not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
