Any info on how to edit?...I don't see anything obvious to amend

2008/4/21 John Dunn <JDunn@xxxxxxxxx>:
I want to increase the screen resolution in RHEL 5

However Sytems Preferences...Screen Resolution only allows allows a maximum of 800x600

Is this an issue with the video driver?

I'm not exactly sure what enforces this but during the installation you get to pick the maximum screen resolution you are interested in. After the system has been installed you need to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf to enable higher resolutions.

I myself would love to know the right utility to use after the installation for this task.
