hmm.. that well indeed be my problem!!! just did a scanpci -v to get a bit more info... for the megaraid that works. pci bus 0x0002 cardnum 0x08 function 0x01: vendor 0x8086 device 0x1960 Intel Device unknown CardVendor 0x101e card 0x0466 (Card unknown) which matches up with: 0x8086 0x1960 0x101e 0x0466 "megaraid" "AMI|MegaRAID 466 Express Plus RAID Controller" However, for the new one giving me grief.. pci bus 0x3 cardnum 0x09 function 0x0000: vendor 0x1000 device 0x1960 NCR Device unknown CardVendor 0x1000 card 0x0520 the closest one is 0x1000 0x1960 0x1028 0x0520 "megaraid" "Dell Computer Corporation|PowerEdge Expandable RAID Controller 4/SC" subvendid is wrong.. so perhaps this why things aren't working.. at least it's starting to make sense!! i wonder if I just change it...??? _______________________________________________ Redhat-devel-list mailing list Redhat-devel-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-devel-list
