Issue with RHEL 4 drive order during installation | |

Hello all, I'm having an annoying issue with a couple servers and storage array when trying to install RHEL ES 4.4 - 4.6 32bit. I have a Sun Fire X4100 M2 with two internal drives mirrored. Also attached is a Sun StorEdge 3320 SCSI Array via a Sun StorageTek PCI Express x4 Dual Channel Ultra320 SCSI HBA (Sun part number - SG-XPCIE2SCSIU320Z). This is a non RAID controller. All RHEL 4 ES installations I have tried are seeing the drives in the StorEdge 3320 first sda->sde and then it sees the internal logical drive last sdf. While it works just fine installing RHEL on sdf, it's annoying to administer. Is there a way to tell RHEL which drive(s) should be sda? I belive this to be a RHEL issue, because RHEL 5 does see the drives in the correct order and lists the logical internal drive as sda. Is it the order in which RHEL 4 loads the SCSI drivers which is causing this? Has anyone see this problem before?
