Error Activating XKB configuration

Hello,
 
I am running RHEL4 WS with the latest patches. However, upon login for any user I get the following errors:
 
"Error activating XKB Configuration.
Probably internal Xserver problem.
 
X server version data:
The XFree86 Project, Inc.
40201000 "
 
Has anyone seen this problem before. There is a similar bug report from some time ago( https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzill...g.cgi?id=120858) , but it references a different error code which is " 60700000 "  instead of what I'm getting which is "40201000 " and the fixes suggested  were actually applied in the actual release.. 
 
Any help would be appreciated.
