1. Yes you can set time out for sessions. I hope th below sample example
will help you.
// Set time out for sessions
<?php
session_start();
// set timeout period in seconds
$inactive = 50; // wait for 50 seconds
// check to see if $_SESSION['timeout'] is set
if(isset($_SESSION['timeout']) )
{
$session_life = time() - $_SESSION['timeout'];
if($session_life > $inactive)
{
session_destroy();
header("Location: anyfile.php");
}
}
$_SESSION['timeout'] = time();
//===============================================
2. just use the function session_destroy(); to destory the session when the
user go to another site.
