Re: Updated comp. sys.

Shyrell, as a Nikon, among others, user, I found long ago that the best way for me to work was to download to the computer via a card reader, ignore the camera maker software, and work with one of the Photoshop incarnations and/or Bridge, Lightroom or iPhoto. Other options are available, of course, for the photo handling but I do really think you would be well served to get a card reader. They are cheap and very useful.

To the group,

As some of you know, my computer crashed a
few weeks back. Since it's repair, I have
had to re-install a lot of my programs.
Thus my problem...

When I tried to re-install the software for
my Canon Rebel XT, it would not install. In
reading the "System Requirements" under the
heading "Computer" it states, quote:

"PC with one of the above OS
      preinstalled.

      ***UPGRADED***machines not supported."

Question: What do I do now?

Without the software, I'm not able to
unload my camera to my computer and I do
not have a CF slot.

Thanks to all in advance.

Shyrell
