My friend, Jack Howard at POPULAR PHOTOGRAPHY & IMAGING just wrote a really nice read on HDR imaging. I read the rough draft for him, but my understanding is that it's now in print and e-book. I'd suggest you take a look at Amazon.com and see if it fits into your learning. The book takes you from the very basics through the entire post processing.
