yeah. or avoid them completely.

I had several I'd burned, checked and stored. Upon NEEDING them, I'd  
found they either wouldn't open due to flaking layers on the dvd or in  
two cases, when they did open, there were 60 copies of the SAME IMAGE.  
It was ghastly.

These were not cheapie dvds.

Never again, never again, will I use dvd as a backup method.  
Especially when I can buy a 500 gig hard drive for under $150.
