RE: NYC transit photo ban?

I guess this is how urban legends get started.

There is a *proposed* ban on photographing in the subways.  There should be a final resolution soon.

HOWEVER, credentialed photographers are not covered by the ban.  This is very clear to anyone who has read the proposed law.  And if one reads the current rules - http://www.mta.info/nyct/rules/rules.htm - one can easily read that photography is permitted.

It's much better not to create a web of false information.

This is true.  The National Press Photographers Assn is working with their lawyers to allow news photographers with credentals to tape or shoot in the subway system.

Subject: NYC transit photo ban?

I heard on National television news that the New York City counsel is voting to ban cameras on the NY subway system.

Is this True?
