Server Startup Error

Hi List,

Machine was down due to some hardware problem.

After then when i issue this command /usr/local/pgsql/bin/psql -l

its giving me the following error

psql: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
Is the server running locally and accepting
connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"?

Can anybody tell me what going wrong??
