This is a DirectShow driver used through the Windows VfW compatibility layer.

The application requests YUV420P format (as expected).

The requested format was NOT supported by the camera!

Several other formats are supported by somehow NOT picked up by the software.

There you go, the software rejects the camera.

One must dig into the source code of the PwLib library and SimpleOpal
application to find a solution to this problem (and I have had not spare time
for too many weeks already).
Camera support is a difficult thing. If you can't work it out, stick to recent
Logitech cameras (and avoid Creative at all cost!).
