I use the branch successfully for both H.323 and SIP. This part
should work.
The main reasons why I haven't merged it back into the MAIN trunk are:
1. Lack of time
2. The T.38 stuff needs to be ported first. See point 1. about this
3. The changes break the API, and people may be forced to adjust
their code to make it compile. This is basically not a big deal, but
before doing this I want to be quite sure that the code works as
expected. Also, you (GT) have stated often that you expect
contributors to make sure that their code works before committing it
into CVS.
4. There are pending changes for CVS MAIN, that should be done before
I do the merge. The reason is that I probably spend less time
backporting the changes as the others would have to spend to make
their code work with the new system
5. Same as point 1.
