Registration problems with t38modem

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

sorry for cross-post, maybe the issue is not related to t38modem, thus
it can be interesting for openh323 developers..

I'm getting strange issues with t38modem registered under gnugk. After
some time (don't know how much) t38modem does not 'recognize'
registration confirm messages from the gatekeeper thus it stops working.
>From the GK logs I see that RRQ packet came in, and GK sent out RCF, but
from t38modem logs I see only that the packet was sent out and after 3
seconds it timed out (the GK responded in 2-5ms). t38modem and GK are on
the same box.
What is interesting, this appears fortuitously so the system works well
for a while. It can be related to the load as well. I push about 30-40
concurrent faxes through sometimes.

After restarting t38modems it works again.

In 1st round I thought, there might be a firewall issue, however it
cannot be as the communication is not limited on lo interface (and
t38modem communicates on lo with gk).

Thanks in advance!

	Tamas
