************************************************************ NTSB PRESS RELEASE ************************************************************ National Transportation Safety Board Washington, DC 20594 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 15, 2011 ************************************************************ NTSB ADDING DOCUMENTS TO PUBLIC DOCKET FOR SAN BRUNO PIPELINE ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION ************************************************************ WASHINGTON - As part of its continuing investigation into the pipeline rupture and explosion that occurred in San Bruno, Calif., on Sept. 9, 2010, the National Transportation Safety Board has added additional items to the public accident docket. Included in today's release are over 3,000 pages of documents, including a factual addendum, party submissions, photographs and video. The information being released is factual in nature and does not provide any analysis. It is available now at http://go.usa.gov/TXR. (The newly added items have a filing date after July 21, 2011.) Additional material will be added to the docket as it becomes available. Analysis of the accident, along with conclusions and a determination of probable cause will occur when the five-member Board convenes on August 30, 2011. This is a document release only; no interviews will be conducted.
