NTSB ADDING INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPTS TO PUBLIC DOCKET FOR SAN

BRUNO PIPELINE ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

As part of its continuing investigation into the pipeline

rupture and explosion that occurred in San Bruno, Calif., on

Sept. 9, 2010, the National Transportation Safety Board has

added additional items to the public accident docket.

 

One photograph and 13 interview transcripts totaling more

than 500 pages have been added to the docket. The

information being released is factual in nature and does not

provide any analysis. It is available now at

http://go.usa.gov/TXR. (To find the items released today,

navigate to page 13 of the docket list of contents; all 13

interview transcripts are on pages 13-14; the photograph is

on page 15.)

 

Additional material will be added to the docket as it

becomes available. Analysis of the accident, along with

conclusions and a determination of probable cause, will come

at a later date when the final report on the investigation

is completed.

 

This is a document release only; no interviews will be

conducted.
