NTSB SCHEDULES SOUTHWEST FLIGHT 812 FUSELAGE SECTION PHOTO

AVAILABILITY FOR NEWS MEDIA

The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a photo

opportunity of the fuselage skin section taken yesterday

from the Southwest Airlines accident aircraft. The 5 foot

section of the Boeing 737 fuselage is being examined in our

Materials Laboratory at the NTSB Headquarters. The

availability will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from

12:30 pm to 1:30 pm (EST) at the NTSB headquarters 490

L'Enfant Plaza, S.W., 6th floor, Washington, D.C.

In addition, NTSB Chairman Deborah A. P. Hersman will be

available to discuss recent developments stemming from the

ongoing investigation.

Camera crews need to report to the guard desk on the 6th

floor to be badged. This event is open to credentialed

members of the news media only and a photo ID will be

required to be given to the guard to receive your badge. You

will then be escorted to the room where the availability

will be held.
