************************************************************ NTSB ADVISORY ************************************************************ National Transportation Safety Board Washington, DC 20594 March 12, 2011 ************************************************************ NTSB LAUNCHING TEAM TO INVESTIGATE TOUR BUS ACCIDENT IN NEW YORK CITY ************************************************************ The National Transportation Safety Board has launched a Go Team to investigate the crash of a motorcoach in the Bronx borough of New York City. The motorcoach, operated by World Wide Tours, crashed at about 5:30 am ET this morning on I-95. Numerous fatalities and injuries have been reported. Robert Accetta will serve as Investigator-in-Charge for the 16-member team from the NTSB. The Board's Vice Chairman, Christopher Hart, is accompanying the team to New York and will serve as principal spokesman for the on-scene investigation. Peter Knudson is the public affairs officer accompanying the team.
