NTSB BOARD MEMBERS TO MEET WMATA BOARD OF DIRECTORS ABOUT

JUNE 2009 ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION FINDINGS, RECOMMENDATIONS

The five Members of the National Transportation Safety Board

will meet the board of directors of the Washington

Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) on Monday,

August 9, at 2:30 p.m. at the WMATA headquarters building,

600 Fifth Street, N.W. in Washington, D.C.

 

The two groups will discuss the recently issued NTSB

findings and safety recommendations related to the NTSB's

accident investigation of the June 2009 Red Line collision

of two WMATA trains.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, there will be a brief

press availability with Chairman Deborah A.P. Hersman in the

WMATA board room.
