NTSB ADVISORY ************************************************************ National Transportation Safety Board July 16, 2009 ************************************************************ NTSB TO OPEN DOCKET ON 2008 CONTINENTAL AIRLINES ACCIDENT AT ************************************************************ into the 2008 Continental Airlines flight 1404 accident in will open the public docket on Friday, July, 17, 2009 at 9 a.m. On December 20, 2008, the Boeing
737-500 (N18611) departed the left side of runway 34R during takeoff from All 115 persons aboard the aircraft evacuated immediately after the accident. There were 41 injuries and no fatalities. The information being released is
factual in nature and does not provide any analysis. The docket includes: investigative group factual reports, interview summaries, crew statements, air traffic control transcripts, controller statements, the meteorology report, the flight data recorder report, the cockpit voice recorder transcript, and other documents. Additional material will continue
to be added to the docket as it becomes available. Analysis of the accident, along with conclusions and a determination of probable cause, will come at a later date when the final report on the investigation is completed. The docket material will be available on
the NTSB website at www.ntsb.gov in the room. This will be a document
