NTSB PRESS CONFERENCE TO DISCUSS 2008 MOST WANTED SAFETY

IMPROVEMENTS TO STATES

      The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a

press conference next week to update the status of its Most

Wanted List of Safety Improvements directed at State

governments.  Items to be discussed are the status of State

laws to require booster seats for young children, primary

seat belt laws, graduated licensing laws for young drivers,

hard core drinking driver laws, and recreational boating

safety laws.  Despite the fact that all of these laws have

been proven to save lives, many States have not yet adopted

them.

 

Members of the NTSB will be available for individual

interviews following the event.

 

      DATE:       Tuesday, November 25

 

      TIME:       10:00 a.m.

 

      LOCATION:   NTSB Board Room and Conference Center

                  429 L'Enfant Plaza, S.W.

                  Washington, D.C. 20594

 

A mult box will be provided and the room is lighted

for television.

Directions to the NTSB Board Room: Front door located on

Lower 10th Street, directly below L'Enfant Plaza. From

Metro, exit L'Enfant Plaza station at 9th and D Streets

escalator, walk through shopping mall, at the CVS store (on

the left), and take escalator (on the right) down one level.
