NTSB INVESTIGATING FREIGHT TRAIN DERAILMENT IN PENNSYLVANIA
************************************************************
National Transportation Safety Board investigators are at
the scene of a Norfolk Southern freight train derailment
near New Brighton, PA. The derailment occurred about 10:40
p.m. (EDT) Friday evening.
Senior safety investigator Ed Dobranetski will serve as
Investigator-in-Charge of the 9-member team.
NTSB Vice Chairman Robert Sumwalt is with the team and will
serve as principal spokesperson for the on-scene
investigation.
