Hi,
I am facing a strange scenario. My kernel module contains bugs and every time I am inserting it my system hangs. I was hoping to get a stack trace on screen in single user mode, but it is not providing one. Contents are not written to /var/log/messages also as I think flushing of the data to disk is not happening.
Is this problem a common one? Do I need to compile my kernel to provide a stack trace on console or is it configured by default? I am using a Open SUSE 10.1 kernel 2.6.18.
Your quick help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Mrunal
