You first task should be to master the art of searching the web. :) Here is a hint as to where you can find the archive of the kernelnewbies mailinglist: http://www.google.ca/search?q=kernelnewbies+archive >From there, search for threads where people are asking the same question as you. Only advice I can offer is pick something that sounds interesting and dive in. Don't know what's interesting?
