(I don't think mp3 is allowed on a dvd)

$ ffmpeg -codecs|grep pcm_dvd
 D A    pcm_dvd         PCM signed 20|24-bit big-endian
(the missing "E" between "D" and "A" means that Audio Encoding is not supported)

Consider opening a feature request on roundup.
