Building mplayer on Solaris

Could you elaborate a little more? 

How do I fix the path to search? Is this in the configure file or an option I should pass configure?

I tried using: ./configure --cc=gcc --host-cc=gcc to no avail. 

Sorry if these questions are simplistic, and thanks for the help.
