Now, yes. dvdnav:// succeeds in playing, however, way to slow (might
be my old hardware). -dumpstream also succeeded, so at least I can
watch the movie.

I can't reproduce the error, even with dvd://. I think this points to
my DVD device as the culprit. Never buy Sony! Sorry to bother and
