I have Redhat 7.2 running and want to mount a cd, but when I try "mount /dev/cdromm /mnt/cdrom" I get "/dev/cdrom is not a valid block device", which I guess is true: ls -l /dev/cd* lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8 Jul 12 11:04 /dev/cdrom -> /dev/hdd brw-rw---- 1 root disk 15, 0 Aug 31 2001 /dev/cdu31a brw-rw---- 1 root disk 24, 0 Aug 31 2001 /dev/cdu535 I had this problem before and solved it, but then had to reinstall and I've forgotten what I did previously. I'm sure it's trivial and I ought to be able to work it out, but it's frustrating me. Can anyone help please.
