I think I misunderstood your message.  If you get the gui
automatically,
don't make the change from 3 to 5.

"/etc/hosts" file. As soon as I saved the file, the graphical login
came up.
Doesn't Red Hat know you're supposed to have to reboot after any
system
change? :-)

However, you also mentioned:

Change the 3 to a 5. "

Why would I want to do this? Should I still do this?
