Hello all, Thanks to all who replied. There are a number of good suggestions there and I will use some in order to install a new hard drive to give my system more breathing room. However, in the short run, I wanted to find out what was causing this partition to fill up. As it turns out, it was the bayes database lok and toc files that are created from SpamAssassin. I use MailScanner with Clamd and SpamAssassin, which uses Bayes. So, to provide help for my immediate situation, I created a bayes directory on the /usr partition and moved all the files over to the new partition and created a symlink over to the new directory on the larger partition. This solved my immediate space issue on / but I will need to increase the capacity for sure. I am not sure if this will cause any performance hit so I will have to monitor this closely. Thanks again to everyone.
