Sorry, with reference to my previous email, I should note that all DNS stuff is fine. It resolves both forward and reverse lookup fine. One thing though is that the hostname of the mail server is actually rosewood but by use of an include file in the domain records, we can set the server hostname to whatever we want i.e. the MX record would be something like: somehost.somedomain. MX 10 mail Because mail is not a FQDN, it attaches somehost.somdomain onto the end of itself giving you mail.somehost.somedomain The IP is derived from the include file which assigns the proper IP to mail. Hope that is clear.
