file recovery on slack 9.0

Hi all,
anybody know a well working appl. that could provide to recover user file
deleted by root whit command deluser -r (the option that delete also file
owned by the user you are removing).
I would need to recover a few directories, in the smallest time.
slack 9.0, linux 2.4.20, on ext2 FS
