Hi, list. I want to build a headless server, and of course, in case of a problem, I want a fallback system to communicate with the server. However I cannot use serial, as all serial ports will be in use. So, my first thought is to examine that oft-neglected parallel port. Is there a way I can log into the machine using the parallel port? Ideally, I want something simple like getty, but a quick investigation didn't look promising. I can do plip if I must, but the point is fallback, and I don't like all that complexity if I can avoid it. Thanks for any thoughts. -- GPG: 03EE 9EB8 E500 874A F509 7B95 9B9A 84A1 26E9 4F79 http://www.ece.utexas.edu/~jhs/public_key.gpg [demime 1.01b removed an attachment of type application/pgp-signature] _______________________________________________ LinuxManagers mailing list - http://www.linuxmanagers.org submissions: LinuxManagers@linuxmanagers.org subscribe/unsubscribe: http://www.linuxmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxmanagers
