Summary: Printing to Solaris 8 lpd server

Dear Managers,

I got one reply from Klaus-Peter Thiessen, which did the trick.

lj3200m|HP LaserJet 3200m PS|lj|lp:\
  :lp=lj3200ps@hostname.of.the.printer.server:\ # where "lj3200ps"
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lj:\ # is the printer name
:af=/var/log/lp-acct:\ # on the print server
  :lf=/var/log/lp-errs:\
  :pl#66:\
  :pw#80:\
  :pc#150:\
  :mx#0:\
  :sh:\
  :

Adding this to /etc/printcap and restarting /etc/init.d/lpd did the trick

Thanks,
Ram
