Dear Managers, I have a doubt in SSH.. what happens here is when i am connecting to a diffrent IP address i am not able to connect. In my SSH server the /etc/passwd file i kept the password field as * so that my authentication will be done from remote place. in my client machine i created a public key by using SSH-keygen. I got two keys in that one is private key and one is public key. The same public key i kept in servers password field when i am doing this in the client machine i was not able to login and error message is authentication rejected .I want to have a SSH from client to server and authentication should be done in remote place please help me to solve this problem.
