OK. Anyone aware of any issues relative to Linux and ntpd (haven't searched Google yet)? We're just beginning to look into a pattern where several assorted RedHat Advanced Server boxes (Intel iron) *AND* SuSE VMWare instances running on a IBM Z-series mainframe where: * ntpd stops running for an undermined reason * time slides out of synch with ntp server No particular details to relate otherwise. Customer are asking why and thought linuxmanagers might have seen this before. Thanks. -------------------------------------------- Jim Coleman Unix Administrator GE Corporate Global Computer Operations 214 Seventh Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101 Jim.Coleman@corporate.ge.com "There is nothing less productive than to make more efficient that which should not be done at all."
