Problem faced in compiling PRO*C 8.1.7 libraries on Red Hat Linux 7.2

Hi,

I am trying to setup the PRO*C environment on a Linux server (Red Hat Linux
7.2 [Enigma]). The Oracle version is 8.1.7. The machine is a Compaq server
(Excuse me for my ignorance of the machine hardware). . The make file tries
to compile a few libraries containing some common functions (Like
connection to Oracle). The compilation reported several errors of the type
"Encountered symbol (variable) when expecting one of the following". I have
attached a part of the actual error message below. Can you help me about
this. Do I need to set some parameters in the make file. Is the error
related to gcc. Is there a turnaround way for solving this problem.
