I have a network build where I am running Redhat 7.2 on one server, Windows 2000 Server on another machine and Windows XP on another machine. I have the printer connected vi USB on the windows 2000 server. I managed to get the samba working on the linux box and I can see the shares on my windows 2000 server when I do an smbclient command. My question is related to printing from the linux machine to my windows 2000 server which is sharing the printer. I have an hpdeskjet 960c which is being shared by the 2000 server. When I do the print command in SMB, the print job does get to the printer, and the printer starts to print, but it only prints out one page and the error that it prints is as follows: %%[Flushing rest of job(to end of-file) will be ignored]%% ^D%%[Error:undefined;OffendingCommand: ]%% It prints this several times, never printing an output. I have been reading that the samba needs some type of filtering, but I don't understand what type of filtering I should be installing. This printing capability is very important as I have Windows NT servers throughout my that controls the printers, but I have several LINUX systems that I am turning on vor various projects with no printers. How do I get my printer to print the correct information in a readable format?? Thanks in advance abaze@cais.net _______________________________________________ LinuxManagers mailing list - http://www.linuxmanagers.org submissions: LinuxManagers@linuxmanagers.org subscribe/unsubscribe: http://www.linuxmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxmanagers
