SONY Autoloader TSL-S11000 not detected by RH 7.1

Hi,

I have connected our new SONY DDS Autoloader TSL-S11000 (connected to
Symbios SCSI controller) to our server running RedHat 7.1 (stock RedHat
SMP kernel 2.4.2-2enterprise).
The autoloader is not detected by the OS. Kudzu did not detect the tape drive.
The SCSI controller is detected
Please help me how can I install this device.
