THE PROBLEM
When I ping our DSL gateway I get "Destination Host Unreachable"
BACKGROUND
Everything was working fine for 2 years. We moved 20 miles, set up a
new DSL. That was working fine for a few weeks so we asked our service
provider to cancel our old DSL and the canceled the new one. That just
got reconnected Tuesday after being down a week. Everything was working
fine from Tuesday until this morning (Friday). This morning it acted the
same way it did last Tuesday when they terminated my DSL. I called tech
support and they assured me that they could ping the gateway.
I hooked another machine up directly to the DSL modem and it could ping
the gateway so it does not appears to be "my" problem. I am starting to
suspect the ethernet card but I don't know how to verify it. I can ping
the card at 66.12.61.54 but I don't know if that means anything.
I am running Mandrake 8.1 on a dual Athlon machine.
We are hosting our own domain and mail.
I am running iptables and portsentry
My local net is 192.168.0
My IP is 66.12.61.54 and the gateway is 66.12.61.53
Here's the result of "route -n":
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface

Here's "ping 66.12.61.53":

Here's "ifconfig":

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
