route question

I'm runnong RH 7.2 connected to the Internet through a DSL line. I have
a router on the DSL part doing NAT and port forwarding. I have set the
router up to forward ports 21 and 80. I have a linux box set up as a
gateway between the router and the rest of my network for extra
security. It's runnong iptables and has done a hell of a job so far
:-). I have iptables specificly set to accept ports 21 and 80 on the
INPUT, OUTPUT, and FORWARD chains.

My route table looks like this

the route commands I have issued to the system are this
route add default gw 192.168.100.1
route add 192.168.100.0 ("external subnet")
route add 192.168.1.0 ("internal subnet")

When I go to grc.com and have my ports probed it tells me that port 21
is running in stealth mode and that port 80 is closed. They should be
wide open! I was wondering if I needed to do port forwarding with route
on the linux box (don't think so) or if perhaps there is something that
I'm totally forgetting to do.

Thanks,
James
