I have had trouble finding the answer to this one on the web. I support a web application that utilizes X-Windows to print. Here is, basically, how it works: A Java Virtual Machine receives a stream of HTML as a page to print. Java creates a virtual "window" and then uses a virtual frame buffer (Xvfb) to "paint" the "window". This image is then sent to CUPS, the Common Unix Printing Service, as a raster image that is converted to postscript and then using IPP (Internet Printing Protocol), the print job is streamed to the printer. The problem is this: I cannot control the default font size. I have Xfs (X-Windows Font Server) as the only entry in my font path so that I only adjust Xfs for font paths, defaults, etc. I have verified that X-Windows only looks to Xfs for fonts using 'xset -q'. However, when I change the default font size in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fs/config, the Xfs config file, the output never changes! Am I missing something here? I know this a pretty obscure question, but 2 days of fruitless searching have made me a litle desparate. Thanks in advance, Ben Ricker Web Security System Administrator Wellinx.com _______________________________________________ LinuxManagers mailing list - http://www.linuxmanagers.org submissions: LinuxManagers@linuxmanagers.org subscribe/unsubscribe: http://www.linuxmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxmanagers
