Mail Daemon comparison

Hello LinuxManagers,

  I know this has been asked before, but I would like an up to date
  response regarding various mail daemons. I have been asked to set up
  a mail server for a large organization to mail surveys to their
  employees and my experience is largely with sendmail. I was
  wondering about other "free" mail packages that have very good
  performance. My responsibility is to do initial setup and
  configuration at which point I will be out of the picture. The other
  requirement is to come up with a solution that allows easy parsing
  of the log files (message qeue etc..) by a bunch of primarily
  Windows administrators. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
