HI there, Our web/email server suddenly have a problem to recieve any telnet, ftp, pop connections. Inetd is up and running. If we use telnet/ftp/pop , client gets connected and the server closes connection immediately. after Escape character is '^]'. I also tried it from console to localhost/IP address/hostname with no luck. (so no external firewall issue)NO ipchains/iptables on box itself. Rebooted server many times. BTW it's linux 5.0 with 2.0.32 Kernel. It is running for last 3 years and nobody has touched the configuration . I checked dns services and it's working fine. Sendmail and apache are also fine. The only thing I observed is netstat -a takes long time to give output. Any suggestions? Utkarsh.. Try FREE Yahoo!
