Hi. I've recently upgraded a webserver of mine to slack8 with the latest apache and all that. The past few days I have been seeing apache's child processes die off and they dont respawn. The errors are saying something do with "bus error". Below is what shows up in apache's error_log file...I can not find anything in any other system logs that would show and type of resource issue. The current config ran just fine on the previous install, it was slack7.1 w/2.4.16 as well. In the latest config I am running 2.4.18... [Tue Mar 5 23:03:30 2002] [notice] Apache/1.3.22 (Unix) PHP/4.1.2 configured -- resuming normal operations [Tue Mar 5 23:03:30 2002] [notice] Accept mutex: sysvsem (Default: sysvsem) [Tue Mar 5 23:04:35 2002] [notice] child pid 589 exit signal Bus error (7) Anyone ever seen this problem?..Im stuck since I dont know where it's calling these bus errors from, plus the fact everything was upgraded at once.....
