Well... This morning I ran tests to verify it was not a hardware issue w/ the cluster. Then I ran ypcat -k and saw a hesitation on any file I tried to access. I then moved the ypserver to one of the SGI servers and voila! There is something w/ Solaris 8 that RH 7.2 does not like. I set two boxes as slaves to the Solaris NIS master and bound them to themselves and everyone else is now flying. I will be heading to sunsolve soon and checking for patches...
