The first item on the TODO list changes the user interface. Once this item is done you don't have those people anymore.
Now look at the nokia gadget. Add more functions to it and add a few sysfs to enable / disable the functions. Now allow to store VID/PID attributes. Where are you? Almost at what ccg can offer today.Ok, then do that work, and if it is the same functionality, and you can get the userspace code that relies on this to be fixed up, great, then you can delete it.
