Due to the hardware upgrade I bought Aten usb serial cable
(http://www.verkkokauppa.com/popups/prodinfo.php?id=1600) and tried to
use it with my old technisat serial ir receiver. The device seems to
be installed correctly on Lucid with the latest lirc:

PL2303 USB to serial adaptor driver

I've tried both lirc0 (modules lirc_dev lirc_serial) and ttyUSB0
(don't know which modules to use - tried pl2303) with no luck.

# /etc/lirc/hardware.conf
#
#Chosen Remote Control
REMOTE="Homebrew"
REMOTE_MODULES=""
REMOTE_DRIVER=""
REMOTE_DEVICE=""
REMOTE_LIRCD_CONF=""
REMOTE_LIRCD_ARGS="-d /dev/ttyUSB0"

#Chosen IR Transmitter
TRANSMITTER=""
TRANSMITTER_MODULES=""
TRANSMITTER_DRIVER=""
TRANSMITTER_DEVICE=""
TRANSMITTER_LIRCD_CONF=""
TRANSMITTER_LIRCD_ARGS=""

#Enable lircd
START_LIRCD="true"

#Don't start lircmd even if there seems to be a good config file
#START_LIRCMD="false"

#Try to load appropriate kernel modules
LOAD_MODULES="true"

# Default configuration files for your hardware if any
LIRCMD_CONF=""

#Forcing noninteractive reconfiguration
#If lirc is to be reconfigured by an external application
#that doesn't have a debconf frontend available, the noninteractive
#frontend can be invoked and set to parse REMOTE and TRANSMITTER
#It will then populate all other variables without any user input
#If you would like to configure lirc via standard methods, be sure
#to leave this set to "false"
FORCE_NONINTERACTIVE_RECONFIGURATION="false"
START_LIRCMD=""
REMOTE_SOCKET=""
TRANSMITTER_SOCKET=""

Irw starts normally but does not receive any data when pressing the
remote buttons. Any ideas or help with this matter?

BR,
Sami
