I also do have a Galaxy, and to mount it, I needed to activate
CONFIG_SCSI_MULTI_LUN which is sometimes missing from stock kernels. Can
you do "zcat /proc/config.gz | grep CONFIG_SCSI_MULTI_LUN" ?
