2.6.27-rc5-git1, OHCI (I think) related Oops | |

Hello, I would like to report a kernel Oops. For all machine information and the Oops output, please see attached files. This Oops occurred also in the 2.6.27-rc4-git4. I am not aware if this was the first release to be affected by it. The Oops is always reproducible, every time I boot my laptop (Toshiba 1625 CDT, AMD K6-III, 466MHz, OHCI usb port). However, this bug does not appear on a desktop computer I tried on (Pentium III, 1GHz, UHCI usb port) (I tried this desktop with 2.6.27-rc4-git1 and 2.6.27-rc4-git4 and 2.6.27-rc5-git1: the Oops does not occur on this desktop). After this bug occurs, no network interface (neither standard ethernet network card nor pcmcia cardbus) are working anymore. The interfaces are down, and a subsequent "ifconfig eth0 up" fails with an "interface not ready" message in dmesg (the interface is still down). I kept trying to bring the interface up for a few minutes, so this is not a delay in the interface to come up. I am wondering if this is a OHCI problem per-se, because it appeared also on another desktop I've tried it on, IBM with PentiumMMX processor at 166MHz, with an UHCI usb port. The same pattern occurs on this desktop as on the laptop. This email contains only the logs and informations related to my laptop. Any other information will be available upon request.
